Min

Min Siegel: adored wife, beloved friend - d.2007

This is a drawing I did of Min back in better days. She loved the ocean so that’s where she is in this picture. Many of her happiest days were spent on Malibu, or Big Sur, Pacific Grove, or up at Sand Harbor on Lake Tahoe which is where we were married. We were married by the Reverend Gary Setzer, by the way, who’s also a seriously stompin rockNblues drummer.

"I stood where she'd written our names in the wet cement of the sidewalk"

Yeah, this isn’t just something I made up just because I needed a lyric for the song BLUE DAY. Min spotted wet cement outside our apartment building one day while I was out at work and, in her typically spontaneous fashion, used the opportunity. When I got home it was a romantic moment. Now it’s a monument to the girl who loved me more than I ever dared to hope.

FallenAngel

Wes and "C-ment" on the set of Fallen Angel

Speaking of cement here’s a pic Min snapped while we were working on a film called Fallen Angel. I’d just been “drafted” into service as an extra that day by the guy next to me, a stunt guy who introduced himself as “C-ment”.
